As part of the Parke’s Castle renovation works undertaken by the OPW in Co. Leitrim, Conway Engineering fabricated and installed a structural steel stairs and walkway to replace the ageing timber structure. The new structure was installed within the ruin walls of the Castle. The stairs and walkway were fabricated and finished to maintained the timeworn integrity of Parkes Castle’s 17th Century Bawn, while increasing the structural stability and overall safety of the castle grounds for all visitors looking to gain access to the higher levels of the Castle Bawn.
Conway Engineering mechanical fitters carried out the installation with such skill and care that the fragile Castle structure was not compromised in any way. The new stairs and walkway structure demonstrates the company’s versatility and meticulous eye for detail in structural steel fabrication. As with all our fabricated structures, the stairs and walkway are CE certified, manufactured to EN 1090-1:2009 Standard for the Manufacture & Installation of Structural Steel Components.
