Conway Engineering have been in operation for over 40 years and have significantly increased in size and capabilities in the last ten years. We are a Design & Build Contractor working directly with Clients to upgrade existing and build new Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. Due to a number of success on Irish Water programmes of work, we need to add to our team:

Project Site Engineer

Project Site Engineer to work within our Project teams for management of the construction stage on site of water and wastewater upgrade projects throughout Ireland. The ideal candidate must be degree qualified in the fields of civil, or mechanical engineering, will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience and be willing to take on new challenges. The position will be based on site, with most of the sites in the northwest and east of the country. Ideally the candidate will have site experience and be proficient in management of health and safety on site.

Key requirements

  • Support the Project Manager
  • Have working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Manage suppliers regarding equipment deliveries.
  • ge sub-contractors
  • Prepare H&S documentation including Construction Stage H&S documents, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and conduct safety checks at various sites.
  • Carry out document control, recording & transmitting information & drawings using the document control system
  • Assist Project Manager in the production of progress reports to the Client
  • Prepare as-built drawings
  • Compile an Operations & Maintenance manual for handover to the client/operations team.

Position will be based on sites in the Northwest and East of the country.

Site Foreman

BIM Engineer

Engineer to join our BIM department to work within our Project teams for design and construction of water and wastewater upgrades/installations throughout Ireland.

Experience & Qualifications

  • BIM/Draughting skills including Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, 3D AutoCAD, Solidworks
  • Competent in document and quality control
  • Perform technical drafting and engineering design support for specific projects.
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Understanding of proprietary design software through hands-on training.
  • Coordinating production of drawing/3D models
  • Work with Engineers to ensure accurate information is presented on plan sets.
  • Follow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented and, at times, be required to adjust and adapt to changing standards and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively to direct and upper management and speak to the progress of a project at any given time.

Role Requirements:

  • Develop drawings for new and existing projects.
  • 2 years of experience with Revit software would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to manage, organise and layout drawing requirements.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume work environment.
  • Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Dependable, flexible
