Stephen Conway

Managing Director

Stephen is the Managing Director of Conway Engineering and is both a Chartered Engineering and a Chartered Accountant.He has almost 18 years’ experience in the construction industry as both a Contractor and a Consultant. He has been responsible for project management of upgrades to major water and wastewater treatment plants, including Castletroy WWTW in Limerick (35,000 PE), Purcellsinch WWTW in Kilkenny (88,000 PE) and many others.

Jennifer MacNamara 

HSQE and Commercial Director

Jennifer is HSQE and Commercial Director for Conway Engineering. She has over 19 years’ experience in the construction industry as both a Contractor and a Consultant. As HSQE & Commercial Director, she is responsible for the management of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental for all departments in the company with the added responsibility for all tendering and business submissions made by the company.

Willie Conway


Willie was Managing Director of Conway Engineering from 1980 to 2018 and remains as a Director of the company into his retirement. He has four decades of design, fabrication and management experience on a wide variety of engineering projects and his expertise remains invaluable to the ongoing development of the company.

Christine Conway


Christine was the Financial Director of Conway Engineering from 1980-2020 and remains a Director of the company into her retirement.  Her experience in the management of client’s accounts, finances and human resources remains vital to the ongoing management of the company.

Ronan Kirby

Contracts Manager

Ronan is a qualified Civil Engineer with over a decade experience in the construction industry. As Contract Manager for Conway Engineering, he is responsible for delivery of all projects on site, including project planning, resource allocation and client liaison. He has managed the delivery of multiple projects for Conway Engineering including Mountmellick WwTP upgrade, Curragh WwTP DBO,  Leitrim 4 Towns WwTP upgrade, Meath 4 Towns WwTP Upgrades and many others.

John O’Meara

Electrical Lead

John is the Electrical Lead for Conway Engineering. He has worked as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager in the water sector for over 25 years, with responsibility for design and delivery of projects for clients such as Irish Water, Bristol Myers Squib, Kerry Ingredients, Abbott Nutrition Ireland and Baxter Pharmaceuticals. Key project experience includes Mullingar WwTP (55,000 PE), Wicklow WwTP (34,000 PE), Osberstown Sludge Treatment Centre (120,000 PE) and Castletroy WTW (35,000PE).

Sarah Ryan

Design Manager

Sarah is a Chartered Engineer with almost 20 experience in the design and management of water, wastewater and flooding projects. As Design Manager with Conway Engineering she manages the tender and design stages of water and wastewater projects, leading multi-disciplinary design teams of civil, process, mechanical and electrical engineers.

Patrick Sheahan

Project Manager

Patrick is a Project Manager with Conway Engineering. He is a qualified civil engineer with over seven year’s design and construction experience in the water and wastewater sector. Patrick manages the delivery of projects on site for Irish Water under the Minor MEICA framework and a variety of other projects.

Gaurav Sharma

Mechanical Engineer

Gaurav  is a qualified a Mechanical Engineer with responsibility for mechanical design and BIM, including the production and management of fabrication and site drawings. Gaurav’s relevant project experience includes Meath 4 Towns WWTWS FBDA upgrades, Thurles WWTW upgrade and many others. Educational Qualifications:

John Leo

Senior Mechanical Foreman

John Leo is a qualified Mechanical Fitter with almost 25 years’ experience in the water and wastewater sector. Since qualification in 1996, he has worked with Conway Engineering on the upgrade, installation, repair and maintenance of assets at hundreds of treatment plants and pumping stations. John is responsible for day to day operations on site and in the workshop. He has responsibility for overall management of the fabrication and installation elements of each project and is an integral part of the successful operation of the company.
