We’re very proud to sponsor the new away jerseys for Crescent Hockey Club. Based in Dooradoyle, near our head office, Crescent Hockey Club has been running since 2009. Pictured with the new jerseys, sporting the Conway Engineering logo, are the ladies under 14 and under 16 squads. So far they have proven to be very lucky jerseys with some great wins for the teams. Here’s to our continued success together!
National wastewater phosphorous removal programme
Irish Water has awarded Conway Engineering another national programme of works for delivery. This programme assesses suitability of the existing licenced Irish Water assets, identified for provision of first-time phosphorus removal via chemical precipitation to achieve compliance with the P-related ELVs (or objectives). The second phase of the contract is to design, supply and install a range of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation equipment for the successful completion, commissioning and testing of the Works.
Five-year upgrade programme for wastewater treatment plants
Conway Engineering wins five-year programme for upgrading wastewater treatment plants
We are delighted to have been appointed as delivery partner to Irish Water for the IWSS NCAP programme following a competitive tender process. This is a five-year programme for upgrading wastewater treatment plants nationwide, with a focus on inlet works, storm management, sludge management and NCAP sites. We have already started on phase one, the design stage for our first batch of sites and are looking forward to successful delivery of these upgrades, which will result in sustainable wastewater treatment in Ireland.
Three more years for access to heights and edge protection programme
After successfully delivering the ‘Access to Heights & Edge Protection’ programme since 2017, we have been re-appointed Lot 2 for the East Midlands to continue for a minimum of three more years. The broad scope of work is to assess, design and implement appropriate solutions at water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Eastern region. The aim is to address risks associated with access to heights and inadequate edge protection to ensure infrastructure complies with all relevant standards, legislation and regulations.

Time Lapse Footage of Carlingford WWTW FBDA installation
Some recent time-lapse footage of our installation of a new fine bubble diffused air (FBDA) system at Carlingford WWTW as part of the Meath 4 towns scheme.
This works involve an upgrade of existing surface aerators to provide a highly energy-efficient aeration system, with significant operational savings for Irish Water. http://
New Office and Covid Protocols
Our new offices are now fully operational and feature socially-distanced workstations and meeting rooms.

Commissioning of Castletroy WwTP ICA Upgrade
Conway Engineering is currently completing commissioning of the Instrumentation, Control and Automation upgrade works at the Castletroy WwTP in Limerick. This project involved a complete upgrade of the Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) system for this 35,000 PE WwTP.
Conway Engineering were appointed by Irish Water to undertake the design, installation, testing, commissioning and programming of the new system, including new Form 4 control panels, new HMI/PLC with relevant programming and connection to countywide SCADA.

Accreditation of ISO Quality Management Systems
Conway Engineering is delighted to announce our recent accreditation to the following ISO Quality Management Systems:
- ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System
- ISO 14001 : 2015 Environmental Management System
- ISO 45001: 2018 Safety Management System
These certifications were awarded in additional to our existing accreditation to EN 1090-1:2009 Standard for the Manufacture & Installation of Structural Steel Components.
Signing Irish Water Minor MEICA Framework
Conway Engineering is pleased to announce the securing of a position on Irish Water’s Minor MEICA frameworks for both water and wastewater.
This follows the successful delivery of a number of projects under the previous Minor MEICA framework. We very much look forward to working with Irish Water to deliver more successful water and wastewater projects under this framework.
